Scholarship Opportunities

The Palm Beach Association of Black Journalists encourages African-American graduating seniors to apply for a $1,000 scholarship for the 2007-2008 school year.

Applicant must:

• Have a grade point average of 2.7 or better, a good attendance record and excellent conduct.
• Show proof of acceptance to a college or university.
• Plan to pursue a degree in journalism - print, television, radio broadcasting or photography.
• Provide a typed, one-page autobiography and include why the applicant wishes to pursue a career in journalism.
• Provide a list of extracurricular activities.

This information in addition to this application must be postmarked by March 30, 2007, and mailed to PBABJ at P.O. Box 19533, West Palm Beach, FL 33416.
